Atlante are 15th in the 18-team table with 14 points from 13 games and a goal difference of -5. They have won three, drawn five and lost five.

At home, Miguel Herrera's side have managed one win, three draws and two defeats from six matches, scoring seven and conceding nine. The Banorte has not been a fortress.

Recent form is patchy. Atlante won 1-0 at FC Juarez on Wednesday, but they lost 2-1 to Pumas on 17 October and 2-0 at Queretaro on the 10th.

Before that, they beat Monterrey 4-2 at home on 26 September and drew 1-1 at Puebla. Luis Calzadilla, on three goals according to Squawka, is their main attacking reference.

San Luis are 12th on 16 points with a goal difference of -4. They have won four, drawn four and lost five, scoring 18 and conceding 22.

Away from home they have won two, drawn two and lost two from six, with nine goals for and 11 against. This is a side that scores but also leaks.

The Potosinos beat Queretaro 2-1 on Wednesday and drew 1-1 at Toluca on 18 October. They lost 2-1 to Santos Laguna before that, but had won 3-2 at Pumas and 3-1 against Necaxa.

Rafa Llorente leads the squad with four goals. Sebastien Salles-Lamonge tops both squads for chances created, according to Squawka, while David Rodriguez has three goals.

The head-to-head record is short and old: five meetings in the Liga de Expansion MX between January 2018 and March 2019. Atlante won two (3-1 and 2-0), San Luis won two (3-2 and 3-0) and the last ended 0-0.

Both teams played on Wednesday, so they have just two days of rest. Infobae notes that four rounds remain before the end of the tournament, which leaves very little margin for error.

Team news

Squawka reports no fresh absences for either side, and the database lists no injured or suspended players. Sportytrader, however, shows H. Meza as missing for Atlante and a forward, J. Pedro, for San Luis. The reports do not match, so official confirmation is worth waiting for.

Atlante are tipped to line up in a 5-3-2 with O. Jimenez in goal. E. Jimenez, Quiroz, Tercero, Carrera and Portales would make up the back five. Calzadilla, Pizzuto and Sarrafiore would start in midfield, with Julio and Puente up front.

San Luis would go with a 3-4-2-1 and Lajud between the posts. Cruz, Aguila and Galindo would form the back three, although Sportytrader points to Bambu in place of Galindo and Galdames in midfield. Llorente and Rodriguez would support Mora.
