Match preview
Barcelona arrive at the Clasico with nine wins from nine in LaLiga. They have 27 points and a goal difference of +30.
At home, Hansi Flick's side have won all four games, scoring 17 and conceding four. Their away record is also perfect: five wins, 22 goals scored and five conceded.
Midweek brought a European setback. Barca lost 4-2 at Paris Saint-Germain on 20 October in the Champions League. Before that they won 5-2 at Real Betis, 4-1 at Galatasaray in Europe, 3-0 against Getafe and 3-1 at Sevilla.
Raphinha leads the scoring charts with 12 goals. Lamine Yamal has eight and Fermin four, so the goals are well spread.
Jose Mourinho's Real Madrid come in on a four-match winning run. They beat RB Leipzig 4-1 in the Champions League on 21 October, Sevilla 4-1 in LaLiga, Roma 4-3 away and Villarreal 1-0. Their last defeat was 2-1 against Atletico Madrid on 20 September.
Los Blancos have 21 points, with seven wins and two defeats. At the Bernabeu they have won all five games, scoring 17 and conceding three. Away from home they have won two and lost two, scoring six and conceding six.
Kylian Mbappe is their main attacking reference with nine goals. Jude Bellingham has three.
Recent head-to-head history favours Barcelona, who have won four of the last five meetings. They won 2-0 in LaLiga on 10 May 2026, 3-2 in the Super Cup on 11 January, 4-3 in LaLiga in May 2025 and 3-2 in the Copa del Rey in April 2025. Madrid won 2-1 on 26 October 2025.
The context matters. A home win would open a nine-point gap, while an away win would cut it to three. Both sides also played in Europe this week, Barca on Tuesday and Madrid on Wednesday.

Team news
Barcelona have several absentees, mainly in defence. Dani Olmo hurt his left adductor in Paris and will be out for around a month. Eric Garcia, with a muscle injury, and Roony Bardghji, with a knee problem, are also unavailable.
Jules Kounde and Andreas Christensen are listed as doubtful in our database, although the Spanish press reports both as out with an ankle sprain and a muscle problem respectively. Rodri was left on the bench against PSG and played the final half an hour.
For Madrid, Vinicius Junior is suspended after a red card and misses the game. Rodrygo (knee) and Raul Asencio (broken leg) remain sidelined. Mendy is listed as doubtful with a hip injury, although Ara includes him among those Mourinho will not have.
Mourinho rested Cucurella, Konate, Tchouameni and Diomande against Leipzig, so they arrive with fresher legs.
We think Barcelona will edge a tight 2-1. Their perfect home record and the variety in attack count, even without Olmo. Madrid will miss Vinicius and have been less secure on the road, although they arrive on four straight wins and Mbappe can punish a depleted Barca back four.
