Banned by their own club! Barcelona punish their fan stand after El Clásico
Barça suspended the activity of its “Gol 1957” supporters' stand for the visit of Alavés. The incidents against Real Madrid raised the threat of fines and even a stadium closure.

Barcelona have decided to punish a section of their own fan base. The club suspended Gol 1957, its supporters' stand, for the next LaLiga game against Alavés, following the incidents during El Clásico against Real Madrid.
The decision was announced on Thursday, October 29, and affects the area where the organized supporter groups gather at Spotify Camp Nou. The reason is the build-up of open disciplinary cases against the club and some of its members over behavior that could lead to sanctions.
Barça warned that this conduct exposes it to fines and even the closure of the stadium, on top of the damage to its image. Faced with that scenario, it chose to suspend the stand's activity.
The hit on Camavinga and objects on the pitch
One of the most serious episodes came in El Clásico on October 25. While Real Madrid celebrated their second goal, in the 87th minute, a Gol 1957 fan struck Eduardo Camavinga with a flag, according to the complaint filed by LaLiga.
At the same moment, bottles, cans, lighters and a vape were thrown onto the pitch. None of the objects hit the players, but they caused a stoppage of one minute and 20 seconds, during which the stadium announcer asked fans to stop throwing things.

The list of incidents also includes offensive chants. The fan singled out for the action against Camavinga has been identified, and the club said it would apply its internal rules to process his expulsion.
When will Gol 1957 return?
The Gol 1957 suspension applies to the game against Alavés. The board will meet with the groups' representatives to agree on commitments that would allow the stand to resume its activity.
Barcelona want Gol 1957 back in action against Aston Villa in the Champions League. That reopening will depend on the talks and on the guarantees of good behavior the club can secure.
