Celta Vigo vs Levante

Prediction and how to watch for Celta vs Levante: everything you need to know before the game.

Celta Vigo host Levante at Balaidos on Sunday 8 November in LaLiga matchday 12. Kick-off is at 11.30am Mexico City time (5.30pm GMT).

The hosts are 11th on 12 points, while Levante are 18th on 10, just two points behind.

Match preview

Celta arrive on the back of two successive defeats. They lost 2-1 to Union St. Gilloise in the Europa League on Thursday and were beaten 3-0 at Rayo Vallecano in the league on 31 October.

Before that, they drew 0-0 with Real Betis at Balaidos, won 2-1 at Celtic in Europe and beat Alaves 2-1. Across their last five matches, they have two wins, one draw and two defeats.

At home, Celta have won two, drawn two and lost two of their six games, scoring nine and conceding six. Their travels have been far duller, with no wins in five, four draws and only one goal scored.

They sit 11th on 12 points with a goal difference of zero. Rotation is expected after Thursday's European effort, and a third straight setback would sting a side juggling league and Europa League duties.

Levante are not in great shape either. They lost 2-0 at home to Atletico Madrid and 2-1 at Real Sociedad in their last two league matches.

Before that, they beat Athletic Club 3-1, drew 1-1 at Deportivo La Coruna and shared a 3-3 draw with Sevilla. Brugui is their top scorer with five goals.

Their issues are away from home. Levante have not won in six road games, taking three draws and three defeats, with three goals scored and nine conceded. At their own ground, they have scored 13 and conceded 12 in five matches, a sign of open contests.

The Frogs are 18th on 10 points with a goal difference of minus five. With only two points separating the sides, the match carries weight for both, and a Levante victory would lift them above Celta in the table.

In the recent LaLiga head-to-head, Celta have won three of the last five meetings, one was drawn and Levante took the latest, winning 3-2 at Balaidos on 12 May 2026. In November 2025, Celta won 2-1 on Levante's patch.

Team news

Celta have five injured players: Carl Starfelt, Alvaro Nunez, Borja Iglesias, Miguel Roman and Jones El-Abdellaoui. Starfelt is out until mid-November and Iglesias until the end of the month. There are no suspensions.

Several changes are expected after Thursday's European tie. Radu is the favourite to keep his place in goal, and the back three has a few alternatives.

For Levante, Manu Sanchez is almost certain to miss out and could also be unavailable beyond the international break. Enzo Bardeli is a doubt with a hamstring problem.

Dela returns after recovering from injury and looks set to be a key figure in the visitors' defence. Neither club has confirmed a starting XI, and the sources we checked disagree on Celta's selection.

Our prediction
Celta1 - 0Levante
45%Celta29%Draw26%Levante

We think Celta will edge a tight contest 1-0. Balaidos has been kinder to them than their travels, and Levante are still looking for a first away win in six attempts. Rotation and absentees could slow the hosts, but the visitors have scored just three goals on the road all season.
